There is debate as to how cosmetics affect the Celiac/ Gluten free person. Each individual needs to determine their comfort level with the products that they are using on their skin and hair. If it comes in contact with your nose or mouth you may want that product to be gluten free. Some areas of concern might be; lipstick and lipliner, cleanser and moisturizer, make up base and face powder, and do not overlook hand cream. There are numerous inquiries about hair care, especially hairspray.

Kay Turner’s Corner Tips

Avon Gluten Free Product List posted 7/28/2008.  This list is too long to be posted here so click on the link to view the list in pdf format.

I am one of the leadership members in the North Texas GIG group.  I have recently become an AVON representative.  I have tried to get an official list of GF products from AVON and they don’t have it.  They even state on their website that they don’t provide a list.  I am surprised that Carol was able to get any kind of list from the Avon information center. Anyway, I have just spent the last 4 weeks going through the entire product line and reading all the of the ingredient lists.  Some I had to request from AVON to be mailed to me because they were not even available on my representative website.  The complete list including a separate list at the end of products that do contain gluten is available at the link above.  I will be updating it every month or so as new products are added to the AVON line.  I hope this is helpful to your members.
